Hello. My name is Jude and I'm a BACP registered counsellor based in West Kent
You draw on life experiences to work through your every days, and you take those life experiences into the future. But sometimes, in the present, things don't feel right and those past experiences don't seem to be helpful at all. You might find yourself wondering why. Why do I feel anxious, sad or upset? Why do I feel the way the way I do when I am with a particular person or in a certain situation? If so, perhaps this has left you feeling stuck and unable to see a way forwards?
I work with people who experience that feeling of stuckness. With people whose daily stresses and worries become overwhelming and difficult to manage. With people where a personal or professional situation has taken root and it feels impossible to see how to it can be resolved. You will have space (where you can talk freely without worrying about being criticised or judged) to calm an overwhelmed mind, to look at why you're feeling the way you are and then together, we can find practical ways of moving forwards.
I qualified at The Counselling Centre in Tunbridge Wells where I remain working as a Senior Counsellor. I have also undergone additional training with Spokzpeople, the wellbeing charity for disabled people and their families and carers.I work with adults offering weekly counselling on a face to face basis. As qualified, registered counsellor with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) holding a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling, I practice in accordance with the BACP's Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions and Professional Conduct Procedure. I also work with a supervisor to ensure I maintain required professional standards and a high level of client care.I have a first career in professional services and understand the challenges of working in the corporate environment but I work with a wide range of issues which include anxiety, burnout, relationship issues, grief and loss, anger and conflict and trauma.
